Gift Ideas For Creatives

It’s that time of year again when questions about what to gift your loved ones this Christmas start to take over your mind.

If you are someone who needs to buy a gift for someone creative in your life, especially a creative who is a digital artist, then maybe one of the following gift ideas will help you out.

*Please note that some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which means that I will earn a small commission if you make a purchase following the link. Also, thank you in advance if you do as the support is much appreciated!

Ok, on to the gift ideas…

  1. An Insulated, spill proof tumbler

I know that the Stanley brand is popular right now but I actually prefer this tumbler by Tyeso.

I love that this tumbler version is travel friendly, meaning the handle folds down flat against the tumbler and doesn’t take up extra space in your bag.

Also, having a side where you can sip through a straw or another where you can drink without a straw and NOT have to worry about it spilling is a HUGE thing for me -this is another details that I love about this tumbler.

This Tyeso tumbler is available on Amazon.

Probably Overthinking Mug from Indigo

2. Probably Overthinking Mug

There’s a good chance that the creative person in your life is likely overthinking and overanalyzing things colour, placement, and/or whether to add certain details to their project so this mug is a great reminder

A great reminder to keep nearby because a creative or artist is likely overthinking or overanalyzing things like colour, placement, and/or whether a certain needs a bit more detail or not

This mug is available to purchase on Indigo

3. Snack Box

We’ve got the drinks and hydration covered but what about the food. I can’t speak for all creatives but when I’m in the zone working, I’ll often forget to eat and when I do get a bit hungry, I just want something to nibble on.

Some snack box options are subscriptions but there are places where you can just buy one snack box like this one on Amazon

Ok, back to the more practical things

Hello Beautiful Notebook by Clare Woodroff

4. Notebook

Yes, I will happily admit in this blog post that I am a notebook hoarder but I use them! I have notebooks that are just for ideas or my creative endeavors, I have notebooks that are used for journaling, and I have notebooks that I use for keeping reference information.

My point being that it’s always nice to have a notebook nearby for when a creative idea or project comes up.

I love to support fellow creatives so be sure to check out this notebook that I love by Clare Woodroff on Amazon.

5. The Endless Challenge card deck

This innovative card deck was just released and few months ago by a fellow artist, Megan Roy. The idea of this card deck is to randomly select 3 different cards from 3 different sections to challenge your creative abilities to come up with a design based on those restrictions. I think this is a great tool for any creative to have since it helps with creative block but also encourages you to create things outside of your comfort zone.

This card deck is available to purchase on Amazon.

The Creative Project Planner by reikomade

6. The Creative Project Planner

I could not resist resist this shameless plug for this gift guide list. The Creative Project Planner is an excellent companion for the artist who be more organized with their projects. This is a notebook and sketchbook combined, with a section to set deadlines to stay on top of tasks a finish a project.

This project planner is available in 3 different patterned covers to choose from and is currently available to purchase on Amazon.

7. Skillshare subscription

Give the gift of learning with this membership on Skillshare. As a fellow creative, I love being a part of this platform because it lets me learn skills that are outside of my field and comfort zone - and there's plenty of classes to choose from.

If you purchase between November 29, 2024 to December 2, 2024 be sure to use the code BFCMT2024 for an extra 50% off an annual membership for new users. Restrictions may apply.

Portable Charger for iPad

8. Portable Charger

I can’t be the only one who forgets to check how much battery I have left in the morning or who ignores those low battery warnings on my iPad. Portable chargers are just handy to have in case you don’t have access to a plugin charger. I will sometimes take my iPad with me and work on illustrations at the restaurant where my husband works and have had to use a portable charger more times than I care to admit.

The one I have doesn’t fully charge my iPad but I did find this one that looks much better for iPads.
